A Side by Side Music Engagement Program Performance
Led by Artistic Director Pablo Mielgo and concertmaster Scott Flavin, this program offers long musicians a unique blend of formal instructions and hands-on symphonic performance. Students will be paired with Symphony members, rehearsing and performing alongside them, gaining invaluable exposure to professional orchestral music.
Considered one of the greatest symphonies of the 20th Century, Shostakovich’s Leningrad is a supreme human achievement. The Leningrad Symphony No. 7 is a monumental portrayal of the human spirit’s resilience amidst the brutality of war, particularly reflecting the Siege of Leningrad during World War II.
