About the Concert
The three B’s—Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms—are some of the most beloved composers in music history, and for good reason!
This concert is a rare opportunity to experience three lesser-heard masterpieces from these musical titans: Maestro Luke leads from the harpsichord—just as Mahler once did—during his inventive reimagining of Bach’s beloved orchestral suites, including the iconic Air on the G String. Steinway Artist Mary Anne Huntsman joins the orchestra for Beethoven’s vibrant Rondo for Piano and Orchestra, a gem full of charm and sparkle. And rounding out the program is Brahms’ sweeping Piano Quartet, orchestrated by Arnold Schoenberg and often dubbed “Brahms’ Fifth Symphony”—An orchestral tour de force!
